Prevention and Education
The role of Prevention Education is to support the agency mission with professional trainings and presentations designed to increase awareness about issues surrounding domestic violence. Information booths are set up at local health and wellness fairs for outreach to the general community.
Connect: Growing a healthy relationship communityTM
This initiative works with a community advisory committee to develop trainings for business, faith, health care, education, and non-profit organizations. This suite of trainings focus on issues of civility, respect and safety for everyone in the community. Please see a full list of the Connect Trainings in the attachment below.
Need a Speaker/Presentation?
Do you need a speaker for a service club, faith community or workplace event? Anna Marie’s Alliance can present on a wide variety of topics. From discussing the programs and services of the agency to increasing awareness of healthy relationships and understanding the dynamics of domestic violence, our speakers would be happy to meet with your group.
In addition to our suite of presentations surrounding domestic violence, we have two additional efforts working towards primary prevention. Connect: growing a healthy relationship community ™ program trains all areas of our communities from neighborhoods to workplaces to faith, health and educational facilities. Working from a broader perspective of communication, Connect holds the key messages of respect, interconnectedness, safety, and empowerment.
