The role of Community Education is to support the agency mission with professional trainings and presentations designed to increase awareness about issues surrounding domestic violence. Information booths are set up at local health and wellness fairs for outreach to the general community.
Outreach & Advocacy to the Latino Community
This program is specifically designed to help meet the needs of Latino families experiencing relationship violence. Presentations, support groups, family and one-to-one advocacy are available. Additionally, collaborative work is done with other area agencies to help ensure clients’ needs can be met.
Connect: Growing a healthy relationship communityTM
This initiative works with a community advisory committee to develop trainings for business, faith, health care, education, and non-profit organizations. This suite of trainings focus on issues of civility, respect and safety for everyone in the community. Please see a full list of the Connect Trainings in the attachment below.
