What We Do

Anna Marie’s Alliance Programs

Anna Marie’s Alliance provides programs about domestic violence throughout the St. Cloud area. From emergency shelter to school youth initiatives, our advocates are out in the community helping to meet our mission of eliminating domestic violence in central Minnesota. Read on to learn more about the variety of services available through Anna Marie’s.

Anna Marie’s Alliance Shelter Program

Anna Marie’s Shelter provides emergency housing for individuals in need of help and their children. The shelter is a safe place where victim-survivors receive information, referral, and confidential advocacy services.

The Jill Eckhoff Transitional House is a place where individuals can gain skills that allow them to support themselves and their children and begin to stabilize their lives after leaving our shelter, but prior to moving in to new homes of their own.

Our PetSafe shelter for cats, dogs, and other small animals is available to ensure the safety of family pets, easing the worry many of our residents have about leaving their furry friends behind, in potentially dangerous situations.

Anna Marie’s Alliance Children & Youth Programs

Our Children and Youth programs provide daycare, group support, activity time, and advocacy services to children who have witnessed abuse or domestic violence in the home.

Anna Marie’s Alliance operates a full-time, fully licensed daycare facility for the kids staying in our shelter.

Anna Marie’s Alliance Community Advocacy

The Community Advocates at Anna Marie’s Alliance work with specific populations or programs.

Criminal Justice Intervention Advocates assist victim-survivors who have an active case in the justice system.

On-Scene Advocates can be called to the scene of an incident by law enforcement any time there is a report of relationship abuse. There, advocates provide support for victim-survivors and, when necessary, act as a liaison with law enforcement. On-scene advocates are available 24 hours a day, every day.

A fully inclusive agency, Anna Marie’s Alliance makes all community support and advocacy programming available to anyone who needs it, including members of the LGBTQ community and other minority groups.

Anna Marie’s Alliance Prevention & Education

Anna Marie’s Alliance works to provide prevention tools and education about domestic violence to those who live in our community. Our goal is to increase awareness about the issues surrounding domestic violence.

Anna Marie’s Alliance’s Prevention and Education advocates work in the community with school districts and youth organizations to provide programming that teaches the next generation about domestic violence prevention. Kids learn how to develop healthy relationship skills and set boundaries with people they are dating, their family members, and their friends.
